What Does a Direct Primary Care Membership Actually Include, Month to Month?
If you have ever waited weeks for an appointment, then spent seven minutes with a doctor who was watching the clock, you already know what was missing. Time.
A membership is a simple trade. You pay one flat monthly fee. In return, you get a doctor's office that has room for you.
Here is the plain answer to the question above. Every membership at RPC includes unlimited office visits and same-day or next-day appointments. Visits run 30 to 60 minutes, and we can do testing right in the office. Plans start at $85 a month for one adult. There is no long-term commitment.
That is the short version. The rest of this post is the month-to-month detail, so you can decide if it fits your life.
You are not imagining the rush
Many of you have said the same thing to me. “None of my doctors ever listens.” “My labs are normal, but I still don't feel right.”
That is not a you problem. It is a schedule problem.
When an office has to see a patient every few minutes to keep the doors open, the visit gets built around the clock. It does not get built around you. After nearly 30 years in practice, I can tell you most answers start with listening. Listening takes time.
A membership changes the math. We are not paid per visit, so a visit can take as long as it needs.
What every membership includes
- Unlimited office visits. No copay.
- Same-day or next-day appointments. If you wake up sick on Tuesday, call Tuesday.
- Testing we can do in the office.
- An integrative approach. We look for the why, not just the what.
- Two wellness coaching visits a year, and 10% savings on supplements.
If you are healthy this month, you may never use it. That is fine. It is there when you need it.
What the add-ons change
The base plan covers the visits. The add-ons change how easily you can reach us. These are the individual prices.
Enhanced Access, $105 a month. Everything in the base plan, plus a direct phone and text line to your provider, after-hours access, priority scheduling, and walk-ins.
BHRT Maintenance, $105 a month. Everything in the base plan, plus ongoing hormone care. That means quarterly check-ins, unlimited hormone visits, dose adjustments, direct text for hormone questions, and prescription management. You will need to have completed titration with our providers first.
Comprehensive, $120 a month. Everything in the other plans, with four wellness coaching visits a year and 20% savings on supplements.
Couples and families
Couples start at $155 a month. Families start at $215, and that covers two adults and up to three children under 18. Kids stay eligible through 25 if they are full-time students. Single parents start at $150 for up to three children. Each additional child beyond the first three costs $30 a month.
Family with Enhanced Access, at $255 a month, is our most popular plan.
Memberships are HSA and FSA eligible.
What it does not replace
Your insurance. Keep it for specialists, labs, imaging, hospitals and emergencies. A membership works alongside it.
A month, in plain terms
A month where you feel fine: you may not need us. Your wellness coaching visits are there if you want them.
A month where you catch something: you call, and we see you the same day or the next.
A month when you are on vacation and you or your kids get sick: instead of starting with urgent care, Enhanced Access puts us a text away.
A month where you have a question that cannot wait: on the base plan, you come in. With Enhanced Access, you text your provider.
None of that is a promise of a result. It is a promise of access and time.
